Step 7: Social Media Links
A buyer who is about to contact you will often check whether you exist professionally elsewhere first. Social links let them do that without leaving your profile — and a profile backed by an active presence reads as real and established.
What You Can Link
For each link you pick a platform and paste the full URL, then use “Add social” to add another. You can choose from:
- • YouTube
- • TikTok
- • X
- • My Website — your own site or portfolio
What Makes a Link Worth Adding
✓ Public — a buyer can open it without an account or a follow request
✓ Active — there is recent work to look at, not a dormant page
✓ About your work — it shows what you do, not your weekend
✓ Consistent — the name and photo line up with this profile
Best Practice
If your work is visual — design, beauty, events, construction — Instagram or YouTube does the most for you. If you sell expertise or services to businesses, LinkedIn or your own site under “My Website” carries more weight.
Important
Open every link before you submit. A dead URL, a private account, or a page full of personal posts does more harm than leaving the field empty — the buyer clicked expecting proof and found a reason to hesitate.
Frequently Asked Questions
I don't have anything professional to link yet.
Then leave it blank for now. This step is optional, and an empty page you'd rather not be judged on is worse than no link at all. Add one once it's worth showing.
Can I link my own website?
Yes — choose “My Website” as the platform. A portfolio site is one of the strongest links you can add.
